Temperature & Humidity (ambient)

Measures air temperature and humidity inside livestock facilities to monitor animal welfare and reduce the risk of respiratory diseases.

Field-readyRemote monitoringMade in Spain

What it measures and why it matters

Measures air temperature and relative humidity in real time inside livestock facilities. Both variables are critical for animal thermal comfort, preventing respiratory diseases and maximising productive efficiency.

How it works

A capacitive sensor measures relative air humidity and a thermistor records temperature. Data is sent continuously to the platform, where thermal comfort indices (THI) are calculated and alerts are triggered when defined thresholds are exceeded.

‹ Use cases ›

Which crops and situations benefit most

Swine

Prevent heat stress in pigs, critical during summer and key productive phases

Dairy cattle

Monitor THI to protect production and cow welfare

Poultry

Maintain optimal temperature and humidity ranges for broilers and laying hens

Sheep & goats

Detect respiratory risk conditions in closed stalls

Frequently asked questions

How many sensors do I need per shed?

For sheds up to 500 m², 2-3 sensors give a representative picture. In larger sheds or those with differentiated zones, additional measurement points are recommended.

Can I monitor several sheds at once?

Yes. You can link sensors from different sheds to your AgroMind account and view them all in the same dashboard, with separate alerts per facility.

What is the THI index?

The Temperature-Humidity Index combines temperature and humidity to estimate heat stress in dairy cattle. Values above 68 are considered risky and affect milk production and fertility.

Does the sensor work in dusty or ammonia-rich environments?

Yes, the IP54 housing protects against dust and splashes. In environments with high ammonia concentration, periodically clean the measurement head.
