What it measures
Measures air temperature and relative humidity in real time inside livestock facilities. Both variables are key to the animals' thermal comfort, preventing respiratory diseases and productive efficiency.
How it works
A capacitive sensor measures relative air humidity and a thermistor records temperature. Data is sent continuously to the platform, where thermal comfort indices (THI) are calculated and alerts are triggered when defined thresholds are exceeded.
What you gain
- Early heat stress alerts before they affect production
- Continuous records for animal welfare regulatory compliance
- Optimisation of ventilation and climate control in the facility
Installation
You install it yourself, with no building work and nothing to set up
The sensor arrives pre-configured from the factory. No trenches, no power supply and nothing to connect to the internet: you place it, fix it and it starts sending data.
Step by step
- 1
Pick the spot
A representative area of the barn, at animal height and away from doors, windows and fans.
- 2
Fix it
Screw the bracket to an inside pillar or wall, or tie it to a bar or pipe with a cable tie.
- 3
Out of reach
Place it where animals can't bite or knock it.
That's it. From then on, readings reach the AgroMind app on their own.
What you'll see in the app
Readings reach AgroMind on their own. This is what you'll be able to follow:
Temperature (°C)
Indoor air temperature in real time
Relative humidity (%RH)
Ambient humidity level
THI index
Temperature-Humidity Index to assess heat stress in cattle
Threshold alerts
Alerts when temperature or humidity exceed configured ranges
Where you'll get the most out of it
Pigs
Prevent heat stress in pigs, critical in summer and in productive phases
Dairy cattle
Monitor THI to protect production and cow welfare
Poultry
Maintain optimal temperature and humidity ranges for broilers and laying hens
Sheep & goats
Detect respiratory risk conditions in closed housing
How the data reaches your phone
The sensor works together with a module that collects and sends the readings.
- 01
The sensor
Measures continuously at the spot where you placed it.
- 02
AgroSense module
Collects readings from up to 6 sensors and sends them even where there is no Wi-Fi or 4G/5G coverage.
- 03
AgroMind app
Follow the trend from your phone, and we alert you on WhatsApp when something is out of the ordinary.

Frequently asked questions
Why measure temperature and humidity together?
Because heat stress depends on both: at the same temperature, the more humid it is, the worse animals cope. Combined, they let you calculate indices such as THI.
What is the THI index?
It combines temperature and humidity to estimate heat stress, especially in dairy cattle. Above 68 is considered risky and starts to affect milk yield and fertility.
How many sensors do I need per barn?
In barns up to about 500 m², 2 or 3 measuring points give a representative view. In larger barns or ones with distinct areas, it's worth adding more.
Can I monitor several barns at once?
Yes. They all appear on the same AgroMind dashboard, with separate alerts for each barn so you know exactly where to act.
Can it handle a farm environment?
Yes, the housing is built for dust and humidity. In environments with a lot of ammonia, it's worth cleaning it now and then so it keeps measuring accurately.
How will I know if something goes wrong?
You set the thresholds that matter to you and we alert you on WhatsApp when they're crossed. You can also follow the trend and history in the AgroMind app from your phone.
